We understand QBCC licence thresholds inside out, and liaise directly with the QBCC on your behalf when financial matters arise.
Specialist QBCC reporting for Queensland builders and contractors.
The Minimum Financial Requirements (MFR) report is the financial information a QBCC licensee provides to show they meet the financial thresholds for their licence category. Licensees must meet the requirements on an ongoing basis, and an MFR report prepared by a qualified accountant is required in defined circumstances — for example when applying for a licence, increasing your maximum revenue, or when the QBCC asks for one.
Broadly, Net Tangible Assets is your total assets less total liabilities, excluding intangible assets and certain disallowed assets. Your NTA position determines the maximum revenue you're allowed to turn over under your licence category, so it needs to be calculated on the QBCC's terms — not just off your standard balance sheet.
You're required to notify the QBCC if your NTA drops by more than the allowed margin or you otherwise stop meeting your category's requirements. Failing to meet — or to report — can lead to conditions on your licence, suspension, or cancellation. We monitor your thresholds through the year so a shortfall is caught and addressed before it becomes a licence problem.
Yes — dealing with the QBCC directly on financial matters is included in the service.
